There are at least two people in the office at all times during opening hours, at least one of whom is a woman, and at least one who has medical knowledge. If necessary, we try to organise an interpreter for appointments with specialists. We do not collect any data, and everyone working with us acts in strict confidentiality.
We are also in touch with a number of advice and information centres, so we can guide people with legal and welfare questions.
Costs for medication, orthopaedic aids, glasses, laboratory examinations, X-rays etc. are financed by voluntary contributions.
In cases of difficult and chronic illnesses that require hospital stay, we try to find solutions in co-operation with the treating professionals, though here we often reach our limits.
